“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14-15

This scripture has been the bedrock of my faith the last couple of months. I’ve made so many Thai friends, people who are kind, generous and good-hearted, but lost. In Luke 19:10 Jesus concludes the evidence of man’s need: he is lost, needing to be found. The answer is right here in Romans 10, someone must be sent to preach so that people hear and believe. There is no other way. My heart aches and is moved when I look at these people. Jesus looked at the condition of the world and was willing to give His life.

They aren’t just faces or statistics anymore. They have names and call me their friend. Please continue in your prayers for the village of Lan So, and for me that God will work through me.

“For a great and effective door has opened to me…” – 1 Cor 16:9

The Primary School here in the Village has asked us to teach the children English. As you know children are fruitful soil for seeds of the Kingdom to fall on.

I’m responsible for the Gr 5’s and teach on a Wednesday. Please pray for creative ideas to teach, and also opportunities to build relationships. I’ve heard many stories of children receiving the message of the Good News and then taking it home.

The children teaching me to make a floating flower for the Loi Krathong festival.

Ready for another festival!
YES, I made that pretty flower in my hand 🙂

Visa Run

At the start of this journey to Thailand, I knew that I only had a 3-month visa and that my Faith muscles were going to go through some tough training sessions. I’ve had a couple of those sessions already, but this is a big one in my mind.

I was just reminded of when I wrote the content for my website, I wrote the following about Faith:

“Faith is to firmly, without a doubt, believe that God can do anything, even when I don’t see it. To keep moving forward although I can only see one step ahead.”

It is time to put that to practice. I will be leaving on my first visa run on the 4th of December. I will be going to Laos which is a 13-hour train ride from Bangkok. These visas aren’t a given and can be denied at any point. I am without a doubt sure that I am where I am supposed to be and doing what I was made for. Therefore I choose to declare that my God for whom nothing is impossible is in control.

I do still need your prayers, as there is power in the prayers of the believers because it moves mountains.

* Please pray for a safe journey
* Please pray for favor when applying for the visa. As well as wisdom for me.
* Please pray for the finances for the journey and both the visas.
If you would like to know more about the financial needs for this visa run, you are welcome to contact me.

Thank you for your continued prayers and support. Without you, the Kingdom of God cannot be built and advanced.

Blessings,
Vicky
